A Star, A New Star: HCP Ninth Day

On Saturday morning we went to Sonnenberg Mansion in Canandaigua. It was built in 1863 and though it was in a bit of disrepair, it was still beautiful to see--especially the abundant gardens surrounding it.

Our favorite area was the rock garden. It had great statues and rock structures and was tucked away in the woods:

On the way back to the Hill we got the LARGEST pizza slices we've ever had. Lily's slice was almost bigger than her!

That afternoon in Primary we made giant Nephite paper dolls:

Samuel the Lamanite is played by Addison Welch and he and his wife Bre were just recently employed at Disneyworld for two years. They quit because they had a little boy. Addison played various roles but two of them were Darth Vader and Goofy. I find this funny since one is scary and one is harmless. Bre's two big roles were Ariel and the Ugly Stepsister--again two dichotomies. Here they are with Lily.

Saturday night it was so fun to have Jason and Eliza come to pageant. We were able to chat with them before it started and Lily told them a seemingly endless stream of jokes.

Jason took a great video of Ken putting up the wooden post to burn Abinidi. He is the one on the left (Eddie Gist is on the right). His shirt looks purple though it is actually maroon.

And here is a portion of Lily's Jesus scene:

Jason and Eliza even brought the girls flowers after the show. Lily was particularly excited!

It's hard to believe we squeezed all of this into one day. It is also the half way mark. Time is moving much too quickly on the Hill.
